On
April 14, 2007, HKQ Kids sponsored a
water safety training program in
conjunction with the Healthy Kids Day
program at the Pittston YMCA.
Magic 93 partnered with HKQ Kids and
the YMCA as a promotional sponsor. The
program was open to kids ages 7
through 12 from financially
disadvantaged families. HKQ
Kids underwrote the cost of the
training as part of its continuing
mission to keep the kids of Northeastern
Pennsylvania safe. Drowning is the second-leading cause of injury-related death for kids under
age 15.
